Why should you use a Learning Management System?
You can use a learning management system to engage your visitors in a way that isn’t quite possible with just a regular website. A learning management system (LMS) is a plug-in that organizes, protects, and sells your content in the form of courses.
Over the next few lessons, we will use an LMS to teach you about learning management systems. Hopefully, by the end of the course, you will be able to decide if using a learning management system makes sense for you.
Assumptions
I am going to assume that you either have a self-hosted WordPress website, or you are planning to use one. You can ask your web developer if you can use WordPress plugins on your website. If you have a WordPress.com website, you most likely will not be able to install an LMS plugin. You don’t need to have an LMS plug-in installed yet, but you will eventually. Later, I’ll give you some suggestions for plug-ins.
